bellenger's: life of a family of four: Serious Blog NEGLECT! oops!

Well.. Obviously we've been busy! And I've got the majority of the birth announcements FINALLY on the road, with the blog address, SO I figure I had better update this! haha!

Where to begin???

Obviously McKenna arrived! (as previously posted!) She's already 2 months old! She's is the cutest thing in existance and I can't imagine life without her, or life before she arrived. I didn't always want children, being pregnant was fun, but actually taking care of this little person everyday, I can't imagine doing anything else with my life! Sounds corny BUT it's true. When she wakes up in the middle of the night and all I want to do is go back to sleep... then she smiles. And starts talking to me. And then I just give up on sleeping and smile back. TOO CUTE!

BUT she's always slept pretty well, in the beginning waking up 2 MAYBE 3 times a night... At 6 weeks she started going through some sleep pattern changing, but it's so far ended well with falling asleep between 10 and midnight, and waking up at 5 or 6... that's fun :-)

McKenna is ALWAYS talking and ALWAYS kicking her legs around, unless she is sleeping! haha :-) The legs are always going about a million miles a minute and as for talking, it's funny! She's always made a grunty repeated noise (newborn video from before leaving the hospital). She smiles so much (social smiles started at about 3 weeks, really!) and she has such expressive eyes! (Don't know where those came from ;-) haha). Since about 6-7 weeks she started moving her head back and forth repeatedly-so much she is balding back here. We've heard it's a form of playing, babies get a dizzy feeling and think it's fun (usually doesn't start until 3+ months though...) I guess she's a head of the game there. We even had a check-up appointment last week and the nurse was trying to measure around her head (which was 15 inches now haha) and she kept moving it back and forth.. the nurse said "you aren't supposed to be doing this yet!!" haha

McKenna spends most of her days kicking, talking, spitting up and drooling.. and of course eating, sleeping and pooping. She's pretty much amazing! <3

BIRTHday: 5/2/09 6 lbs 15.4 oz, 18.5 inches long, head 13 inches

5/8/09 6 lbs 11 oz, 19.5 inches long

5/14/09 7 lbs even!, 19.75 inches long

6/24/09 10.1 lbs! Almost 22 inches long!, head 15 inches

The Bellenger's (minus Patrick and Shannon unfortunately) came and visited May 28-June 2 to meet McKenna! It was a fun little trip! And they LOVED her SO much :-)

McKenna had to get her 2 month old shots this week, poor baby :-( and then he got her ears pierced yesterday.. WAY CUTE! :-) so out baldish little baby girl cannot be mistaken for a little boy haha :-)

June 8, Parker Robert Bolton, our new little nephew was born! Too cute! 5 weeks apart, and approx 4 pounds and people ask if the babies are twins... CRAZY people! haha!

Basically that's all new here... baby, baby, baby! Other than, recruiting, recruiting, recruiting on Christian's part :-)
